Intersystems Hard Disk Adaptor Card.   
This was  a Hard Disk "adaptor"  card card that Intersystems supplied. Unlike many othere S-100 hard disk boards, Intersystems chose to interface a hard disk in a two step process. This "Adaptor" card communicated with up to 4 hard disk controller boards each of which resided in the hard disk itself.

Intersystems HDA

The board utilized high speed DMA for data transfer. For slower CPU's one wait state could be inserted in the DMA cycle. It had an elaborate vector interrupt system and could work with 8 or 16 bit I/O addressing.  The whole system looks nice and logical but unfortunatly I have no information about the hard disk controller cards themselves.
